Commuting In Peace Has A Price...
I finally bought my first MP3 (or is it MP4?) player to bring calm into my daily commute to and from work.
And in my quest for the right player to suit my need, I gladly found out that I don't have to spend so much moolah on an iPod. I love Apple and would gladly have every piece of garbage that they make, but they're just too damn overpriced.
Take this MP3 player for instance. An iPod would cost me over 10 grand and that's all I'll get -- a player. Whereas I got this Creative Zen V Plus for much less and it's got better and more advanced features.
It's a music player with a colored screen, which is pretty cool because it displays album covers and details. It's a video player as well and a file storage device. Meaning you can store important documents and images in it. Very useful to me since I tend to bring home work during weekends.
This little wonder also has an FM radio, an organizer to sync your contacts, and a voice recorder. In my profession this comes really handy as I won't have to bring my recorder all the time.
All these features you can get for half the price of a simple iPod MP3 player. Even my friend Gilu kinda wished he could turn back time and ditch his iPod for a one like mine.
It's always a crisis for me whenever I buy a new gadget because I'm sorta 'old world', I don't believe in these must-have scrap plastics. But I really like my player. It's cute, it's stylish, and I can commute every day in peace.
